Kierstin Homblette Allen

Full name: Rev. Kierstin Homblette Allen (she/her)

Meet the Moment Program Manager

Office of the President in Administration

The Rev. Kierstin Homblette Allen (she/her) serves as the Meet the Moment Program Manager. Meet the Moment is a movement-wide framework helping Unitarian Universalists analyze, discern, and take values-based action in response to today’s religious, cultural, generational, and political realities.

Kierstin Allen, a white woman with brown hair, bangs, green earrings, red lipstick, and a yellow shirt, stands in front of a blurred background of bamboo trees.

Kierstin returns to service at the UUA after 20 years away, having previously served as a Legislative Assistant in the UUA’s Washington Office for Advocacy, supporting Unitarian Universalists to engage in faithful federal legislative advocacy in the US capital, focused on bringing UU values to issues such as reproductive justice, comprehensive sexuality education, and LGBTQ+ rights.

In the interim, Kierstin’s community-based social justice ministries have included serving as the Beloved Conversations Director for the Fahs Collaborative at Meadville Lombard Theological School, a Resident Assistant at the Delores Project in Denver, CO, and as the Beloved Community Coordinator for the UU congregations of the Boulder-Denver cluster in Colorado.

Kierstin was raised at the First Unitarian Church of Orlando, FL and has been a member of UU communities in Pittsburgh, Washington DC, New York City, and Denver, CO. She returned to her hometown several years ago and is now an affiliated community minister and member at the First Unitarian Church of Orlando, FL. She and her wife have two children and they all love spending time out in Florida’s gorgeous outdoors, swimming, kayaking, and feeling embraced by the humidity.
