In this political climate, we need one another more than ever. This series of three workshops offers leaders of UU congregations and covenanting communities the opportunity to receive, and give, moral and practical support for facing the challenges of religious leadership in 2025.

Topics will include leading strategically in anxious times, dealing with conflict and difficult behavior, and creating meaningful connections for people of all ages, all in the context of a spiritual community that is called to uphold human rights and dignity.

February 6th: When Anxiety Trumps Covenant: Resources, Tools, Strategies

Revs. Summer Albayati and Sarah Gibb Millspaugh

The pain, fear, and anxiety of living in the US at this time can lead to an increase in destructive behavior between members, staff, and ministers of our congregations. Conflicts escalate more easily, people get more reactive, and folks get more defensive and try to turn everybody else into “the problem.” Learn some strategies from your regional staff and your fellow UU congregational leaders for staying resilient, and lovingly and effectively addressing destructive behavior patterns when they arise.

March 6th: Emergent Strategy and Liminal Times

Revs. Sunshine Jeremiah Wolfe and Tania Márquez

April 3rd: Young Children and Families

Dr. Melissa James, Sam K. Pearl, and Mylo Way

Location: Online (Zoom)

Time: 07:00 PM to 08:30 PM
*The gatherings will be at 5:00 Hawaii, 6:00 Alaska, 7:00 Pacific, and 8:00 Arizona and Mountain times.
