Moonrise

Moonrise is a new retreat for Unitarian Universalist religious professionals across the gender spectrum, lovingly created for transgender, nonbinary, two-spirit, gender-expansive, and delightfully gender-spicy folks who are ready for a few days of community, laughter, rest, and magic together.

This year, we will gather oceanside in Provincetown, Massachusetts between October twelfth and the sixteenth.

Moonrise is rooted in building a space where every phase of who we are can be seen, celebrated, and held with care. The moon is whole, no matter which phase it might be in — and so are we. In all human lives, phases are holy and those transitioning through them are whole during each of them.

If you come to Moonrise, expect heartfelt moments together and late-night conversations over the fire pit oceanside with old friends. Expect morning yoga and coffee accompanied by the waves. Creativity, storytelling, chosen family energy, and space to simply exist for a few days without a to-do list is our goal for the week. There will be opportunities for learning and spiritual grounding together, but we also hope there is space for joy, silliness, naps, art, good food eaten together, and the kind of small unexpected encounters that shape the community we become together.

We hope you will come as you are, and bring your whole self.
Bring the struggles and bring the joy — Moonrise has space to hold them.
