Racial Justice Rubric for UU Congregations

Racial Justice Rubric

Many congregations wonder how they can self-assess their progress along the path to anti-racist, anti-oppressive, multicultural transformation. Unitarian Universalist religious professionals Julica Hermann de la Fuente and Christina Rivera have developed a congregational rubric with a process for reflection and assessment. It helps congregations collectively discern whether they are operating under a “status quo” of implicit White Supremacy Culture, a more multiculturally-aware yet still passive congregational culture, or one that is more actively engaged in antiracism and other anti-oppressive, multicultural practices.
