A Series of Small Group Reflections

We will continue with our fifth session on February 12 and continue on second Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00(ish)pm ET through May 2025.

As Unitarian Universalists recently affirmed seven Shared Values that define our faith, this series explores each one, using a podcast episode from a diverse list of pods as the “text” to generate thought, discussion, and learning together. In January, we focused on our shared value of Transformation. Please find information on our previous gatherings, including our shared covenant, on our resources page.

In February, we will focus on our shared value of Generosity:

“We cultivate a spirit of gratitude and hope. We covenant to freely and compassionately share our faith, presence, and resources. Our generosity connects us to one another in relationships of interdependence and mutuality.”

This month we are doing things a little differently. The “primary” text is a TED Talk with James Rhee, The Value of Kindness at Work (the transcript is on the right side of the episode page).

The “extra credit” is an extended interview between Rhee and Brené Brown on her Dare to Lead podcast (for the transcript, scroll down on the episode page).

Join us to learn more and consider what living with generosity means for you!

We will open the Zoom room at 6:40pm to stream the TED talk during an optional pre-gathering listening session. The gathering officially starts at 7:00pm.

Sign up to join! Sign up only required once. Once you have filled out the form, you will automatically receive links to the episodes, any other resources, and the Zoom links for each gathering. We will continue to gather through May on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:00-8:00(ish)pm, with the optional pre-gathering listening session.
