Before 2019, national UUA, district, and regional youth programs had slightly different safety policies. All of these polices had been in constant evolution and change as leaders learned more. In 2019, we adopted a national policy for all regional and national youth events. These policies continue to evolve as we continue to learn.
These policies are shared online for transparency and as a resource for congregations.
Additionally, youth events seeking UUA assistance in publicity need to be in alignment with these guidelines. Contact faithengagement@uua.org or your regional staff for assistance in safety for your youth event.
