UU Community Church of Washington County, Hillsboro, OR held its United Nations Sunday on October 22, 2017 with a UU-UNO Moment by Envoy Elaine Nelson telling about the history and programs of the UU-UNO and a sermon titled, “Playing Chicken: What Are We To Do?”, about disarmament and UU commitment to peace. A special collection was taken for UU-UNO and 22 members/friends of the congregation became supporting members of UU-UNO.
