The Rev. Darrick Jackson will join us for this day of embodied learning (onsite only). All religious professionals are welcome!
Workshop Description
What does it feel like to truly listen with your whole body? This workshop draws on techniques from improv, theater, interplay, and embodied empathy to explore interpersonal relationships. Participants will engage in embodied exercises and learn to lead them in their own contexts.
This workshop applies toward the Music Leadership Certification Program for the Interpersonal Relationships requirement.
The Rev. Darrick Jackson
Rev. Darrick Jackson (he/him) is the Ministerial Credentialing Director at the UUA. Darrick is one of the authors in the book Centering: Navigating Race, Authenticity and Power in Ministry. He is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, focusing on a Liberation Theology of Improv. He is a member of the True Story Theater Playback troupe and performs musical improv comedy with Improv-able. Darrick and his husband, Dr. James Olson, live in Weymouth, MA with their two cats, Merlin and Morgana.
