The recording and transcript of our recent webinar on voting and disability justice is now available! The program features Disability Justice Associate Rev. Amanda Schuber and Democracy Strategist Nora Rasman (both from UUA’s Side With Love Organizing Strategy Team), and New Disabled South’s Director of Data and Research Kiana Jackson, discussing the intersection of disability justice and democracy defense, and the ways that UU’s can get involved in the UU the Vote 2024 movement.
When you’ve finished checking out our latest webinar, hop on over to the new plain language ballot measure tool, a collaboration between New Disabled South and Disability Culture Lab! It contains accessible versions of 25 state-wide ballot measures from 11 southern states, and it’s just in time to make voting more accessible for folks with a variety of disabilities.
For further information on voting while disabled, thisaccessible voting guide is a great way to find options in your state, so you can be ready to cast your ballot on or by November 5.
