Today we have the opportunity to contribute to a special offering for the Unitarians in Eastern Europe [whose stories you have just learned]. One Transylvanian Unitarian minister, speaking about his congregation's recently revived connection between eastern Unitarians and western Unitarian Universalists said, "After all these centuries, it is not clear that we shall survive. But we find great comfort in knowing that you are watching, and that if we disappear it will not go unnoticed. You will know and you will care." Writing a tax-deductible check, marked Transylvanian Unitarians, is how we can each do far more than simply watch. Our contributions can sustain the heartbeat of these unique Unitarian communities.
