Andrew McGeorge Appointed UUA Chief Financial Officer
Andrew McGeorge will join the staff as the Association’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Andrew succeeds Tim Brennan who is stepping down after thirteen years as Treasurer/CFO. Tim plans to continue to work in the field of socially responsible investing as a consultant to small and mid-sized institutions.
Andrew is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Boston. For the last thirteen years, Andrew has worked in senior financial leadership for credit unions, including the last five years as Chief Financial Officer of Service Credit Union in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. In that position, Andrew has been responsible for the preparation of the credit union’s annual budget and five-year financial plans, management of its investment portfolio, oversight of the organization’s pension plan and self-funded health insurance plan, and preparation of treasurer reports to the credit union’s board of trustees.
In addition to this experience in financial leadership, Andrew has a strong commitment to Unitarian Universalism. Andrew and his wife Lisa Boudrieau married at the UU Church in Peterborough, NH; began attending UU services regularly in 2003 at All Souls Church in New York City; were members at the Shawnee Mission UU Church in suburban Kansas City; and for the last seven years have been members at South Church in Portsmouth, NH, where Andrew has served on the board of trustees and as treasurer of the congregation. Andrew, Lisa, and their two children live in Portsmouth.
Andrew currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Finance Council of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). He holds a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
