White woman with red hair, smiling at the camera with a foggy nature landscape behind her.

Skyla King-Christison (she/her) is a Tennessee native worshipping and working in the foggy Pacific Northwest. Skyla currently serves as the mom of three mostly grown kids, the Director of Religious Exploration for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis, and a Hope for Us Conflict Engagement Team Coach.

She is preoccupied with the idea that heart-to-heart connection is the universal remedy, and wants very much to know what book has most recently changed your mind.

Skyla previously served as a board member for the UU Mental Health Network and in restorative juvenile victim-offender mediation. Before becoming a credentialied religious educator, Skyla worked in public and alternative education, interfaith collaboration, and directed many a children’s choir. She continues to write and speak on topics at the intersection of education, community healing, and spirituality.
