Ember Oak Kelley (Any Pronouns) feels a life calling centered around building community- especially a community that encourages belonging and is empowering for youth and emerging adults. Ember most recently served as the Director of Lifespan Religious Education at the Fourth Universalist Society in Manhattan, as well as working to support the Unitarian Church of Staten Island. Ember is a 2018 graduate of Chicago Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.
Ember’s life experiences have instilled a thirst for continuous learning, an understanding of the global community, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a relatable manner. Ember has two amazing sons, and loves working with young people.
Ember’s passions encompass a wide range of issues, including social justice, LGBTQ+ issues, LGBTQ+ religious inclusion, religious trauma recovery, mindfulness, self-understanding, digital minimalism, and community building through education.
