Cecilia Kingman
Full name: Rev. Cecilia Kingman
Rev. Cecilia Kingman is the Deputy Director of the UUA's Ministries and Faith Development Staff Group, and the Executive Secretary of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee. Prior to joining the UUA staff, Cecilia served congregations in Washington, Oregon and California, most recently serving as the Minister for Faith and Justice for the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Edmonds, WA. Cecilia is a member of LREDA and the UUMA and is passionate about the shared ministry of religious professionals and laity. She was fellowshipped and ordained in 2007.
Cecilia spent two decades working with the Unitarian community in Eastern Europe to fund and support local civil society initiatives, including living with her children in Romania for a stretch. She is a scholar of authoritarianism and fascism and is currently pursuing a Doctorate on Ministry at Pacific School of Religion.
Cecilia is the mother of four children and lives with her youngest children and a random assortment of animals in the Seattle area. In her free time Cecilia reads young adult fantasy novels, grows vegetables, and serves on her local PTA board.
