The Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II is president of the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP and pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He is the author, with Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove, of The Third Reconstruction: Moral Mondays, Fusion Politics, and the Rise of a New Justice Movement (Beacon Press, 2016).
