Rev. Lisa Bovee-Kemper has served the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville, NC since 2011. As Associate Minister, her portfolio includes membership development, social justice, and pastoral care. She has been active in North Carolina NAACP's Moral Monday movement, as well as work for LGBTQ inclusion. She is an artist who teaches art as a spiritual practice to all ages. As a pastoral care specialist, she also preaches and teaches about grief and the importance of end of life planning, particularly advance directives, for anyone over the age of 18. She and her wife Cindy are foster parents, and are owned by an orange tabby cat.
