Rev. Erin J. Walter (she/her/hers) is a community minister, activist, and musician based in Austin, Texas, where she is affiliated with Wildflower (UU) Church. A YMCA director and chaplain until COVID-19 layoffs, Rev. Erin now centers her ministry as a singer/songwriter for the band Parker Woodland, whose debut EP “The World’s On Fire (and We Still Fall in Love)” comes out on Feb. 5, 2021. She is also the longtime bassist for queer rock band Butch County, and a board member for the Texas Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry. Winner of the 2017 UU Women’s Federation Sermon Award, Rev. Erin focuses on joy practices, including leading a free public Zumba class over Zoom.
