A Series of Small Group Reflections
We will continue with our sixth session on April 9 and then on second Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00(ish)pm ET through May 2025.
As Unitarian Universalists recently affirmed seven Shared Values that define our faith, this series explores each one, using a podcast episode from a diverse list of pods as the “text” to generate thought, discussion, and learning together. In January, we focused on our shared value of Transformation. Please find information on our previous gatherings, including our shared covenant, on our resources page.
In April, we will focus on our shared value of Pluralism:
“We celebrate that we are all sacred beings, diverse in culture, experience, and theology.”
We will base our exploratory discussion on an episode of the Struggle Care podcast, Making the Outdoors Inclusive with Parker Bushman.
Do you know about the problematic history of the conservation movement? Some highlights of this episode — nature should be accessible to all and there are ways to build outdoor-oriented community through “engagement, information, collaboration and empowerment.”
Come to learn, discuss, and explore!
We will open the Zoom room at 6:10pm to stream the episode during an optional pre-gathering listening session. The gathering officially starts at 7:00pm.
Sign up to join! Sign up only required once. Once you have filled out the form, you will automatically receive links to the episodes, any other resources, and the Zoom links for each gathering. We will continue to gather through May on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:00-8:00(ish)pm, with the optional pre-gathering listening session.
