Faithify Funding Unitarian Universalist Ministries

About the Faithify Transition

Faithify has supported UU fundraising since 2014, raising more than $2.8 million for congregations, individuals, and organizations.

As online fundraising tools have expanded, the UUA is shifting its approach. Faithify is transitioning from a crowdfunding platform to a focus on training, tools, and resources that strengthen long-term stewardship capacity.

This change allows the UUA to better support UU leaders and congregations in building sustainable, effective fundraising practices.

Ongoing Stewardship Support

Faithify’s mission to support UU fundraising is continuing in a new form. This work will move into the UUA Congregational Life Leadership Team, with a focus on supporting thriving congregational stewardship through training, resources, and liberatory stewardship practices.

Upcoming stewardship programming for congregations:

  • Pledge Drive 101: (a three-session IN-PERSON evening webinar for stewardship teams) Using the experiences of UU congregations as a pledge drive laboratory, we will explore the state of religious giving in the United States and the UUA and consider various strategies to use during pledge season, as well as tips and techniques for assembling a stewardship team and communicating with the congregation. Look for registration in August 2026.
  • Pledge Drive 101: (a three-session ONLINE ON DEMAND program for stewardship teams) At their convenience, participants will have the opportunity to learn about religious giving in the United States as well as the UUA, pledge drive tips and techniques, various pledge drive strategies, and case studies from UU congregations. Look for registration in October 2026.
  • Generosity: Cultivating Gratitude and Hope: A successful pledge drive is more than timelines, communication, and strategies. It also involves a motivational message and culture of generosity. Using resources from Lake Institute on Faith and Giving we will explore donor motivation and the role that relationship plays. We will consider and reframe terms like generosity and philanthropy and draw inspiration from Unitarian Universalist theology and values. How can we create a culture of generosity and how can this transform a congregation and community? Look for registration in December 2026.
