2025 is calling; how will Unitarian Universalists respond? In a world marked by political oppression and escalating crises, centering love is a radical and transformative act—one that calls for all of us to move into collective spiritual leadership. What grounding and skills do we need to practice Unitarian Universalism, offering this faith to ourselves, to one another, and to the world that needs us?
Whether you serve on your congregation’s board, participate in committees, lead a program, serve as minister or staff, or simply love Unitarian Universalism and want to contribute, this day is for you. Join us for inter-congregational connection, skill-building led by Central East Region staff, and community-building as we model and practice loving transformation. Let us answer the call together!
What to Expect:
- Warm Welcome: Begin the day with light food, coffee, and a chance to connect.
- Worship & Spiritual Grounding: Ground yourself in UU values through worship and shared reflection.
- Skill-Building Workshops: Learn and practice key leadership skills identified as essential for these times, including deep spiritual grounding, adaptive & emergent leadership, and simple practices for effective communication.
- Small Group Conversations: Reflect, share experiences, and collaborate in focused groups.
- Breaks and Restorative Space: Enjoy intentional pauses for rest, reflection, and informal connections.
- Relationship-Building: Form meaningful connections with other UUs across different congregations and roles.
Choose the Location That’s Most Convenient for You! Everyone is welcome at any location.
All people welcome: board and committee leaders, parents, children, youth, young adults, staff members, religious professionals, ministers, and any committed and engaged folx who love Unitarian Universalism and might not have formal roles. Childcare will be available at all in-person sites, with some light, playful programming to help connect UU children and youth with one another and with the wider community.

Timely registration is important to ensure that our in-person events can take place as planned. In-person events may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Don't leave registration for last minute.
Registration fee: In person registration fee is on sliding scale of $30-$40-$50 and the online registration fee is on sliding scale of $10-$20-$30. Registration fees are on a sliding scale, based on your assessment of your ability to pay. Those who pay at the highest level are making a donation to help those in financial need for this event. Please remember that for a sliding scale to work, we need the same number of people with means to generously pay more to balance the needs of those who can afford less.
Childcare: Childcare will be provided with the possibly of light UU programming (location dependent). While we love to provide childcare, please note that childcare services may be canceled if there is insufficient enrollment. Please register 2 weeks in advance to let us know if you will need childcare services. We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all, and we appreciate your understanding and support in helping us plan for this resource.
Masking guidelines to protect against a COVID-19 outbreak: This will be a masked event except during meal breaks time. To maximize the safety of the participants, presenters, and their friends and families...
- Participants and presenters are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
- Participants are required to always wear a mask over their mouth and nose during the training. Masks must be multi-layer - no neck gaiters or valves. We will provide surgical masks for participants who need a mask.
- Staff are asked to take a rapid test before traveling.
- Masks remain required for group settings when we are together, and the default for all shared spaces.
- Eating should be in limited spaces away from the main gathering space
- We recognize that in smaller groups people may choose the level of safety that all can consent to – e.g. eating lunch together or having a small conversation without masks.
