Summer Institute 2025 Coming Soon!

We are getting closer to Summer Institute 2025 at Oberlin College. Registration is set to open in Mid-April, which is later than usual, but we know the wait will be worth it. Between July 6-12, 2025, SI will be gathering at Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH. For many, this will be their first time experiencing SI on the Oberlin campus, for others this will be their first return to the campus since 2019. Together, we’ll make SI magic as we get to know the places, spaces and people who make and re-make this transformative UU community.

In the meantime, here is what you can expect from Summer Institute this year.

  • Our theme speaker this year is Rev. Joanna Fontaine Crawford. Known for her dynamic presence and thought-provoking messages, Joanna’s TikTok (@revjo.uu) videos have captivated audiences worldwide.
  • The Youth Speaker is Matt Meyer, who was a theme speaker for Summer Institute in 2016. Matt is an musician, educator, and worship leader. Learn more about him at his website.
  • Morning seminars for adults and young adults have been posted, check them out and see what you might like to register for.
  • Learn more about our host site by checking out maps of the Oberlin campus, including their interactive map. Learn about what the city of Oberlin has to offer and view a list of restaurants in town.
  • Consider applying for a job. The Job List still has openings and we invite anyone interested to apply.

If you have never attended Summer Institute or know little about this program, SI is part of the programming of the Central East Region, but all are welcome!
