Relations with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, The People's Republic of China, and Cuba 1973 General Resolution

WHEREAS, improved cultural and economic relations with China and Cuba may decrease tension and lead to diplomatic recognition of those countries by the government of the United States;

BE IT RESOLVED: That the 1973 General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association expresses its support of the United States government's recent friendly initiatives toward the People's Republic of China and further expresses support of all United States government initiatives toward the USSR, the People's Republic of China, and Cuba which will reduce the risks of aggression, expand cultural exchanges, broaden commercial intercourse, and lessen ideological tensions.
