Exhibiting at General Assembly
By exhibiting at the 2013 General Assembly (GA), you will be contributing to the learning, enrichment, and networking opportunities that GA attendees look forward to each year. GA offers numerous ways to connect with other Unitarian Universalists (UU) and UU-related organizations. The Exhibit Hall is always a popular focal point; it provides a gathering place, rest stop, marketplace, and food concessions for GA attendees. The GA Exhibit Hall is open to all GA registrants.
For more information on exhibiting at GA, read the 2013 Exhibitor's Prospectus (PDF). Exhibit space cannot be assigned without agreement to the Exhibit Space Terms & Conditions (PDF).
The deadline for reserving space was January 15. Limited space may still be available; please contact gaexhibits@uua.org for more information.

Exhibiting at General Assembly does not equal endorsement by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).
The Unitarian Universalist Association is committed to a diverse marketplace of ideas. Participation in our exhibit hall does not necessarily mean the UUA endorses the position of any given exhibitor.
Security in the Exhibit Hall
Everyone in the GA Exhibit Hall must display either a valid GA registration name badge or an Exhibit Hall Security Pass at all times. An Exhibit Hall Security Pass will be required for admittance to the Hall during set-up and break-down times (one hour before opening and one hour after closing each day).
New This Year!
To arrange Exhibit Hall Security Passes for its booth staff, the exhibitor must provide to the General Assembly Office by June 7 a list of all of the staffers who will be working at the booth. The exhibitor must also designate one person who will be on-site as the person in authority for their booth. A personalized Security Pass will be printed for each staff person. There is no additional cost to the exhibitor for Security Passes arranged by June 7. Security Passes for additional staff determined after June 7 can be purchased on-site for a $20 fee. The designated on-site person in authority is the only person authorized to purchase additional Security Passes. All Exhibit Hall Security Passes must be for specific individuals. Security Passes are not generic and are not transferable.
Greening the GA Exhibit Hall
New This Year!
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) requires vendors to join in a commitment to Sustainability by meeting criteria of documented sustainability standards for meetings and events.
Exhibitors shall:
- Have a written sustainability policy (sample template (Doc)).
- Designate a staff representative onsite who is responsible for sustainability.
- Communicate to their staff UUA’s goal to hold a sustainable event and circulate the contents of these guidelines to staff at their booth.
- Practice a pack-in/pack-out program that ensures all materials not to be reused are either recycled or donated onsite at the event. Non-recyclable materials left on site will be shipped back and charged to the exhibitor.
- Be mindful of not providing excessive or wasteful samples and giveaways. Please note individually wrapped candy wrappers are landfill. They are permitted but avoiding them helps UUA achieve our waste diversion goal. Giveaway items left onsite will be shipped back and charged to the exhibitor.
- Turn off all electricity during hall closures, unless perishable goods are at risk of spoiling.
- Use a minimum of 25% energy efficient electronic equipment (i.e. LED lights, EnergyStar certified computers, power-save options enabled).
- Use a SmartWay certified hauler for any shipped freight.
- Use a water reclamation system in booths if a water element is used.
- Have sustainability criteria for purchasing of booth materials. This means purchased materials will consider attributes like fairness, reuse potential, recyclability, etc.
- Minimize use of packaging.
- Ensure any reuseable materials are repurposed through a donation program if not retained for their own use. This includes food and non-food items.
