Award for Distinguished Service to the Cause of Unitarian Universalism
The Annual Award for Distinguished Service to the Cause of Unitarian Universalism is one of the most prestigious awards given by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). The Committee is interested in nominations from throughout the leadership of our denomination so we can select the best from a broad range of possibilities.
Candidates for this award should, over a considerable period of time, have strengthened the institutions of our Unitarian Universalist denomination or clarified our message in an extraordinary way. They should have exemplified what Unitarian Universalism (UUism) stands for.
Ministers or laypersons may be nominated. Nominations should include supporting reasons and information about the candidates. Nominations made in the past two years will be automatically considered by the Committee, without requiring another nominations letter. The Award Committee itself is also able to nominate candidates.
The deadline for receipt of nominations is April 1. The final selection will be made by the UUA Board of Trustees at its April meeting.
Please send your nominations to: John Blevins, Chair, UUA Distinguished Service Award Committee, UUA Headquarters, 25 Beacon Street, Boston, MA 02108.
This work is made possible by the generosity of individual donors and congregations. Please consider making a donation today.
