Eligibility for the UU Group Insurance Plans

The three Unitarian Universalist Group Insurance Plans (UUGIP) are:

  • Long Term Disability (LTD)
     
  • Life/AD&D (Life plus accidental death and dismemberment)
     
  • Dental

There is no waiting period before eligible employees may enroll. Employees who work at least 750 hours per year are eligible to participate and must enroll within the first 60 (sixty) calendar days from date of hire/eligibility, or during a specifically designated Open Enrollment opportunity. Employee with a Qualifying Event?

Interested in new retiree dental enrollment?

Employees who may be eligible to participate:

  • Ministers of Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations
     
  • Staff of UU congregations
     
  • UU Community Ministers affiliated with a congregation

Employees who did not apply for LTD and/or Life/AD&D coverage during their first 60 (sixty) calendar days from date of hire/eligibility, nor during a specifically designated Open Enrollment opportunity, may contact insurance_plans @ uua.org to inquire about submitting evidence of insurability or the next Open opportunity.
