Art Nava joined Congregational Life Staff for the New England Region in December 2023. Before joining UUA staff, he served as a New England Region peer facilitator since 2015, facilitating a range of retreats and workshops for congregations. He served on the UUA’s Religious Education Credentialing Committee from 2018 through 2023.

He enjoys non-profit board work and recently completed six years of service to Gay For Good as treasurer, board chair, and treasurer again. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Art was born and raised in El Paso, where he had the joy of living and learning in a truly bicultural, binational community. He now lives in Lowell with his husband Rich Abreu and their dog Spenser.
