The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) logo is offered to you in two formats: .eps and .tif. These are two standard formats which will retain the transparency of the graphic (in other words the graphics won't be imported in a big white box). Either of these formats can be imported into most graphic and word processing applications—one or the other should work.Graphic Standards
The new UUA logo is designed to convey the idea of light emanating from the flame, or illumination. To maintain a consistent appearance the number of radiants must adapt appropriately as the chalice increases or decreases in size. For this reason, we have provided versions of the logo in various sizes.
The typeface being used by the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations along with the logo is called Weiss. It is not generally part of a standard suite of fonts available with word processing programs, but can generally be purchased from your word processing manufacturer.
Logo Reproduction
Reproduction of the logo should originate from an official digital reproduction master (located on this site). We are providing several file formats to provide the best possible logo reproduction for any foreseeable applications. Please be sure to use these materials rather than scanning or photocopying from printed materials, which would reduce the quality of the result. The logo should always be proportionally scaled from an approved digital master. Please don't recreate the logo yourself, and don't modify the shape of the logo.
The TIF and EPS files are not intended for web viewing—they are good for graphics editors. If you right-click on the links, you should get an option to "Save Target As...." and you can then download any of the TIF or EPS files to your hard drive. The EPS files require image-editing software to manipulate, but the TIF files can be inserted into almost any publishing software, like Microsoft Word.
A. Traditional Use
- Logo A: Use this logo for a large majority of print applications. Use this logo when required diameter is greater than 1/2" but less than 2".

- Logo B: Use this logo when the required application is over 2" in diameter.

- Logo C: Use this logo when the required application is under 2" in diameter.

- Logo D: Use this logo for applications that require very small sizes.

B. Reverse Applications
When the UUA Logo is required to appear on a solid black or colored background it is recommended that one of the logo versions below be used. The specifics of the application will determine which of the below logo versions will be best suited for maximum effect.
- Reverse 1: This reverse logo is meant to function as a solid reverse, white on black or white on a color. Use the same sizing guidelines as described in the logo section.

- Reverse 2: This is the preferred reverse application. This reverse logo is meant to function when high production standards are employed, where percentage screens can be successfully employed.

- Unacceptable Reverse Logo: Do not reverse a positive logo when creating a reverse logo. Specific reverse logos (described above) are designed to meet any foreseeable application on a black or colored background.
