Monday, June 23, General Assembly 1997
Today the General Assembly (GA) Planning Committee is sponsoring an "Empty Bowls" luncheon to benefit WasteNOT, an organization which provides food to the homeless and hungry in Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun. By donating $10 or more, participants receive a handcrafted ceramic bowl and lunch. The bowl is kept as a reminder of those whose bowls remain empty. Food and bowls have been donated and all proceeds from the event go directly to feed the hungry of this city.
This work is made possible by the generosity of individual donors and congregations. Please consider making a donation today.
