Logistics: GA Youth Caucus FAQ

What about Housing? Roommates?

The UUA Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries does not coordinate housing or roommates; you will need to arrange and pay for your own lodging accommodations. More information about housing options for GA is at Housing, Hospitality and Travel. There are "UUA hotel blocks" (groups of hotel rooms arranged at a better price by the UUA) through the General Assembly (GA) Housing Reservation System, as well as home-stays available. There is no one “Youth Caucus hotel.”

How do food and travel work?

Youth are expected to get to and from GA by themselves. Again, we suggest that youth and their sponsor travel together if they are from the same area.

Youth are also expected to find food on their own at General Assembly. We encourage sponsors and youth to share some of their daily meals together.

How do I pay for GA?

See the GA rates. Youth qualify for "reduced rates" if they use the Youth Registration. Scholarships, volunteer opportunities, and financial aid are available. In addition, the UUA Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries offers scholarships specifically for youth and young adults. Also, if you are a youth delegate, many congregations have scholarships or sponsorships available for delegates.

How do I register?

Visit the Youth Registration page on the GA website for instructions, the registration form, and the required youth forms.
