Guidelines for Keeping Youth Safe at Events
New UUA Youth Safety Guidelines Released

Friends, we are super excited to announce that after more than a year of study, writing and review that we have developed new UUA-wide Youth Safety Guidelines!

We invite you to take a look at the new Youth Safety Guidelines (PDF), download, and print them.

These policies and guidelines represent the wisdom that has been collected and gathered throughout the years to help our youth events be safer spaces for young Unitarian Universalists to deepen their faith. Our Unitarian Universalist principles and values have driven every part of developing these guidelines, policies, and procedures.

At our 2019 General Assembly, the Youth Safety Working Team presented about the philosophy behind the policies, as well as major changes. You can access the Powerpoint presentation here: Advancing Youth Safety GA 2019 Presentation (PDF).

These policies and supporting appendices will be posted to uua.orgduring the summer of 2019. We hope these resources support congregations in their youth safety work too. Stay tuned for our Fall webinars that will help train leaders to use the new Guidelines!
