Journey Toward Wholeness Transformation Committee

Amazing Transformation

In 1997 GA delegates asked a group be formed to to monitor and assess our progress on the journey toward becoming the anti-racist, anti-oppressive organization we profess to seek. The Journey Toward Wholeness Transformation Committee is that group. Throughout the years, the JTWTC has reported on that progress in a number of manners. A snapshot of districts doing, or not doing anti-racism work. An in-depth analysis of our ministerial credentialing system. An assessment and recommendations of how we recruit, support & retain our volunteer leaders. In 2015, we offered something a bit different. Something we hope will provide a tool for each of us to use back in our congregational, regional and collegiate settings. Study guide for Amazing Transformation (PDF, 3 pages)

The Journey Toward Wholeness Transformation Committee was established in June of 1997 by the Unitarian Universalist Association Board of Trustees as part of the 1997 General Assembly Business Resolution "Toward an Anti-Racist Unitarian Universalist Association."

The committee's charge is to monitor and assess the work of the Association toward becoming a genuinely anti-racist, anti-oppressive, multicultural institution. Read more:
