Welcome Andrea and Bailey!

We are pleased to announce that the 2016-2018 Youth Observer Elections have come to a close and we are have two stellar Youth Observers. Nine congregations voted and both elections were very close. Our next Youth Observers will be Andrea Briscoe and Bailey Saddlemire.

Andrea Briscoe

Andrea will be serving as Youth Observer for one year, 2016-2017. She is a member at Main Line Unitarian Universalist Church in Devon, PA. Andrea has served our faith in a number of roles including as a peer youth chaplain and worship coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Youth Ministry Council. She current serves as Senior Dean of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) General Assembly Youth Caucus and co-chair of both the Mid-Atlantic Youth Ministry Council and the Central East Region (CERG) Youth Ministry Council. Andrea is a huge dog lover and hopes that during her time as Youth Observer she can help connect youth with the UUA Board and increase youth involvement in UUA governance.

Bailey Saddlemire

Bailey will be serving as Youth Observer for two years, 2016-2018. She is a member at the First Unitarian Church of Providence and serves on the Prudential Committee (Board) of the congregation. Bailey also volunteers with her school's Gay-Straight Alliance and loves the School of Rock program she is a part of. During her tenure as Youth Observer, Bailey hopes to get more youth from smaller or less involved congregations involved in our greater UUA.

We are excited for Bailey and Andrea service to our Association and look forward to their continued leadership!
