Amid a shortage of available shelters across the state, the sixth floor of the UUA's building at 24 Farnsworth Street could serve as a short-term, overnight haven for newcomers in need of aid.

The UUA joins with the United Way of Massachusetts and other community-based organizations to provide temporary emergency housing and support to local families in need. Space in the UUA headquarters building will serve as a temporary, overnight emergency shelter location as part of this arrangement.

In March 2024, the UUA made space at its 24 Farnsworth headquarters building available to local unhoused families in urgent need of shelter. Our building is closed to the public while we host these families.
