Presidents' Gatherings are an online space for current congregational Presidents, President-Elects, Vice Presidents, and Past Presidents to create a community of learning and collaboration with each other and with Southern Region staff.
The Presidents' Gathering sessions are held on the 2nd Tuesday of most months, beginning in October, and ending in May. Our starting time is 6:00 PM Central/7:00 PM Eastern, and these sessions will last up to 90 minutes. (Please note: we take a break in December.)

  • October 10: Governance/Board Basics
  • November 14: Non-Anxious and Adaptive Leadership
  • January 9: Organizational Charts and Committees
  • February 13: Committees on Ministry/Committees on Shared Ministry
  • March 12: Safer Congregations
  • April 9: Odds and Evens
  • May 14: Board Transitions and Onboarding

Please note, you only need to register for this event series once! Your registration covers the entire series. You will get an email closer to the event date with the meeting details.

COST:

  • Free for APF Honor Congregations (2022-2023)
  • $100 for congregations that were not APF Honor Share in 2022-2023, (the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023)
  • Not sure if your congregation was an APF Honor Congregation last fiscal year? Send us an email (sr@uua.org) or search for your congregation using the uua.org “Find a Congregation” feature; Honor congregations will have this recognition noted below their contact information: “Honor Congregation (2023)”.
  • Please note: We will send an invoice to your congregation if a payment is due for your participation in this event.
