Description of Activity

Distribute Taking It Home. If you did not distribute Handout 1 in Activity 3, do so now for participants to take home. Ask everyone to form a circle and join hands. Invite each participant to name one idea or feeling they will take from the time together. Share these closing words from Henry David Thoreau:

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Extinguish the chalice.
