How can we make sure that the Sexuality and Our Faith DVDs are used appropriately?

First, ensure that your program is only taught by facilitators who have participated in Our Whole Lives / Sexuality and Our Faith training for the respective levels. Guidelines include:

  • Show the DVD to parents in advance of the program as part of parent orientation. Obtain their written consent on the form provided in Sexuality and Our Faith for Grades 7-9 and 10-12.
  • Show the DVD to participants in the context of the Our Whole Lives program with the other Sexuality and Our Faith materials.
  • Excuse youth who do not wish to view the DVD or whose parents do not want them to view it.
