Youth Ministry Training webinar series

By Eric Bliss

Unitarian Universalists believe that ministering to and with youth is a vital role adults play in our movement. Adults ministering to and with youth can always be growing and building skills, and we're here to support you through online learning opportunities.

Our UUA's Congregational Life Staff and Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, including Eric Bliss, the Pacific Western Region's Youth Ministry Specialist, are excited to share a new initiative embodying inter-regional and national collaboration. The Youth Ministry Training webinar series is geared towards persons of all skills and abilities regarding ministry to and with youth, including ministers, religious professionals, and lay leaders. Primary materials draw from the Competencies for Ministry To/With Youth, as well as professional expertise, including DRE's and ministers, across our UUA. Each webinar is 75 minutes long.

The UUA's Youth Ministry Webinars features a listing of upcoming and archived webinars for those who want training, refreshers, and ways to expand their knowledge base and skill set. Webinars are great ways to learn from home or with other people ministering to and with youth in your congregation. Please note that not all live webinars are archived, so don’t miss your opportunity to attend.

The first webinar in the Youth Ministry Training webinar series, Intro to Competencies for Ministry To/With Youth, takes place September 13th and will be repeated on September 15th. The series continues with Healthy Youth/Adult Relationships led by Eric Bliss and Evin Carvill-Ziemer on October 11th. For more details and to register for webinars, visit Youth Ministry Webinars.
