The guide invites participants to explore and examine some of the underlying themes in the book, including justice, mercy, compassion, hope, and forgiveness. Included are plans for a single session or three-session series, as well as links to supplementary materials and specific guidance for how to take action to work against mass incarceration and/or the death penalty.
