PNWD Leadership Development Con
Type of event: Training
Sponsor: Pacific Western Region of the UUA
LDC is a full weekend of leadership training for youth who have been active in youth programming for at least one year & adults who work in youth ministry.
We’ll examine different types of leadership, what it takes to be an effective leader, conflict resolution skills, ways you can help foster youth leadership in our communities and some self evaluation and insight into the type of leader you’d like to be. We’ll also give you resources for local, regional and national leadership opportunities.
If you want to be a counselor or CIT at our summer camps, a touch group leader, a Luminary Leader, serve on Youth Caucus staff at GA, serve on your congregation’s Board of Trustees, or be on the regional youth board (YES Team), then this is the training for you.
If you are an adult who is passionate about youth ministry, if you want to be more involved, want to foster leadership in your local youth community, or simply have a better grasp of the big picture of youth ministry beyond your congregation, then please join us
Note: There is a 30 person limit for this event. The quality of your application answers will help us determine attendees if there are more than 30 applications.
