Katie Kurnick

Katie Kurnick (she/her/hers) is a 2022 summer intern with the UU @ UN office. She is a current Global Social Work student and Global Activities Scholar, pursuing her Masters in Social Work at the University of Michigan. She graduated from Ohio State University in 2018 with her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, with minors in French and Nonprofit Management. She has served with various nonprofits, including completing a year of AmeriCorps service with City Year, and working as a Program Coordinator at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. She is passionate about furthering equitable education and advancing human rights, specifically working with children, women, and refugee populations, and strives to further justice-centered change at the local level.
