Dayna has a strong background in curriculum development and instruction and received her Master's in Education and Human Development from George Washington University in 2000. After working with children and youth in underserved areas for many years, she spent a few years as an entrepreneur. In 2011 she found her calling as professional religious educator. She was the Director of Children’s Ministry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis for two years before moving to Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church. Her passion as a religious educator and UU lies in creating sacred spaces that authentically welcome and celebrate all people. Under her leadership, PBUUC has doubled the children and youth in attendance each Sunday and implemented innovative approaches to faith formation for all ages such as #uuadvent and monthly UU-themed birthday parties for the congregation.
When she's not working, Dayna spends most of her time as a "Dance Mom" to two young daughters. She and her husband of 13 years like to read and dream up new business ideas together.
