Help Build Our Beloved Multicultural Community

Are you a Unitarian Universalist (UU) of Color? Are you Latino/a, Hispanic, Multiracial/Multiethnic, Native American, Aboriginal, Asian, Pacific Islander, Arab, Middle Eastern, of African descent? Are you transracially adopted? Bi-racial? All of the above?

Join a virtual community of UUs of Color!

In May 2013, UUs of Color began gathering online and by phone for conversation, support, and community. This meeting space is to support communities of color within the Unitarian Universalist faith. Participation is limited to people of color (including the diversities listed above). Adults, young adults, elders, and youth are all welcome.

Convener Jessica York is a black religious educator and is part of Unitarian Universalist Association efforts to help Unitarian Universalism become a more welcoming multicultural community.

Joining the Virtual Community

Virtual community members gather during the second Monday evening of each month, at 9 EST/8 CST/7 MST/6 PST.

If you have not attended previous gatherings, sign up by emailing Jessica York at fdodirector [at] uua [dot] org (subject: UUs%20of%20Color%20Virtual%20Community) . Include your name and contact information (city, state, phone number). Additional information will be emailed to you.

If you are interested but unable to meet during the scheduled times, let Jessica know and you will be added to the mailing list for future reminders.
