The UUA offices had been scheduled to be closed from December 24, 2022 – January 2, 2023, so staff could enjoy holiday time with family and friends. Then, President Susan Frederick-Gray, and Executive Vice President, Carey McDonald, chose to give staff extra holiday time, so the UUA is now closed for winter break from Monday, December 19 at 2:00 pm ET – Monday, January 2, 2023. If you need to be in touch with the UUA, make sure to make contact in early December!

And consider if you have staff and clergy that might appreciate extra time off or flex time during the year. At the UU Church of Rockford, IL, the Board of Trustees and Reverend Dr. Matthew Johnson offered flex time during the pandemic. Johnson notes that the congregation was very supportive, staff appreciated the flexibility, and people still got timely responses to emails and phone calls.
