Are you committed to the work of our Association? Do you have a calling for developing strong denominational leadership? We're looking for dedicated volunteers to form the new Presidential Search Committee for our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). The Presidential Search Committee is charged with recommending two or more candidates for President in the year prior to the General Assembly at which the election will occur. The committee will work toward candidate nominations from the time of its formation through its recommendations by February 2022; it will continue as a committee after its recommendations are made, though the work will likely decrease significantly.
The UUA's President is the chief executive officer of the Association. The President is elected to a six year term, and may serve only one term. Candidates for President may be nominated by the Presidential Search Committee or they may be nominated by petition.
It is vital that the Presidential Search Committee reflect the diversity and promise of our liberating faith. Applicants from historically marginalized communities are particularly encouraged to apply. The Appointments Committee and Nominating Committee are working together to form the Presidential Search Committee.
