The UUA has created a new lay leader spiritual care training entitled Spiritual Care Training for Lay Leaders 310 Part 1: Discernment through the UUA online learning platform of LeaderLab. If you are personally interested in pastoral care, or in developing a congregational pastoral team, this is an excellent resource. The first course is free and helps with discernment for interested people. A letter of recommendation and agreement to a code of ethics are both required.

The second session, Spiritual Care Training for Congregational Leaders 310 Part 2: The Art of Spiritual Care is available for $30, and requires Part 1 as a prerequisite for those who would like to go forward and deepen their skills.
