June 2023 Welcome

By Phillip Lund

I’ve always found it a bit of a paradox that as the congregational year winds down, the Unitarian Universalist Association as a whole is gearing up! That is, of course, because our annual General Assembly is coming, June 21-25, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There’s still time to register to attend virtually or in person. See the items below for more on this year’s General Assembly.

There’s another event coming up that’s keeping the MidAmerica staff busy, too: our Annual Business Meeting is next week, Thursday, June 8. You can still register if you’re interested in attending this virtual event. Once again, please check out the notice below for more information.

And while the congregational year may be winding down, opportunities for learning abound this summer. In this issue of the MidAmerica Messenger, you’ll find information on a variety of trainings and workshops, from an Our Whole Lives facilitator training to a Teacher Development Renaissance Module, and much more.

Remember, your MidAmerica Regional staff is available all summer long and we’re here to help. Please feel free to reach out to us with your questions and comments. If you’re not sure about who to contact, visit our Contact Us page on the MidAmerica website.
