June 2021 Welcome

Rev. Phillip Lund

Rev. Phil Lund, Congregational Life Consultant

In this issue of the MidAmerica Messenger, you’ll find a variety of events happening this month, along with news about Hope for Us: the UUA’s new conflict engagement team; information about supporting the COVID-19 response in India; and an opportunity to give feedback about changes in the editorial focus and design of UU World, our UUA’s denominational magazine.

The big news for Unitarian Universalists in June, however, is the Association’s General Assembly https://www.uua.org/ga. And this year’s GA, June 23-27, is once again a 100% virtual event, which means UUs from across the country and around the world can participate.

There are two events this year that UUs in MidAmerica Region might want to check out:

  • The MidAmerica Annual Business Meeting on Saturday, June 26th, 11:00 am Eastern/10:00 am Central,
  • And the Sunday Worship service on June 27th, featuring worship leaders from First Universalist Society in Minneapolis, at 12 noon Eastern/11:00 am Central.

You don’t have to register for GA to attend the MidAmerica Annual Business Meeting or GA Sunday Worship.

There are a few other events at GA that don’t require registration. Or register for the full GA 2021 experience.
