The Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry in Maryland developed a curriculum on "Gun Safe" Schools for UU Youth. The curriculum specifically addresses gun-safe storage in homes, as well as a bill supporting trauma-informed active shooter safety drills in Maryland schools. UU Legislative Ministry–Maryland is offering the curricula to Unitarian Universalist congregations across the country.

They note that those who serve congregations outside of Maryland may wish to use the Parent/Caregiver section for discussion of safe gun storage in the home. Non-Maryland users might also enjoy the youth lesson on Brave Spaces, and are welcome to use the entire youth curriculum for legislation in the congregation’s home state.

They encourage users to consider reaching out to other local faith traditions, making this effort an interfaith effort, and they wrote both sections of the curriculum to allow that possibility. You can find a sign-up sheet for UU Youth for "Gun Safe" Schools online.
