Join us for an exciting concert by Peter Mayer on February 22, 2020. As a talented Folk singer-songwriter from Minnesota, Peter Mayer has been performing in venues across the United States and beyond for over 20 years. He writes songs for a small planet – songs about interconnectedness and the human journey – songs about life on earth and the mysterious and wondrous fact of our existence. He also writes songs about dress hats, pumpkins and pajamas, and even love and freight trains, like a good folk musician should. His music has been performed by artists like Kathy Mattea, David Wilcox, Claudia Schmidt, Anne Hills, Priscilla Herdman, Darryl Purpose, Billy Jonas, and Ronny Cox. His work has been included in song books, church hymnals like the Unitarian Universalist Hymnal Singing the Journey, and folk radio playlists across the country. Peter has eleven albums and sold more than 100,000 copies to date.
The concert will be hosted by Unitarian Church of Evanston (UCE) at 1330 Ridge Ave. Evanston, IL on February 22 at 7 pm, doors open at 6 pm. Buy tickets online for $20 on Eventbrite through Saturday, February 22 at Noon. Tickets will be available at the door for $30. Refreshments will be available at the Blue Boat Café during the concert.
