Extended Leadership Experience is an opportunity for existing leaders, and soon to be leaders, to gain experience and knowledge about how to lead more effectively in your congregation. There are four sessions. Each will include pre-work through the UU Institute website, and then an online presentation on UU history and theology by Rev. Connie Simon, followed by a summary of key details and then an opportunity to discuss with fellow learners, ask questions, and learn with and from each other.

Topics covered include: creating covenant, dismantling white supremacy culture, mission/vision work, listening circle modalities, systems theory, and conflict. There is pre-work for learners to complete on the UU Institute website prior to a synchronous session, and your registration includes access to the course materials on the UU Institute website.

The online synchronous sessions will be held on Saturday mornings, every other week, on October 5, October 19, November 2, and November 16 from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm Eastern, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm Central. While the leadership segments will be recorded and available later, the history/theology conversations will not be recorded. This event is designed for lay leaders.

Please remember that for a sliding scale to work, we need the same number of people with means to generously pay more to balance the needs of those who can afford less.
